Academic research needs rigor about sources, methods, and claims. This pack helps Claude do literature work, method comparisons, and structured reading notes — without hallucinating references.

What you can do with this pack

  • Structure a literature review
  • Extract structured notes from a paper
  • Compare methods across papers
  • Identify gaps in a body of literature
  • Plan a research design

Skills in this pack

Structured Reading Notes

Extract structured notes from an academic paper — question, methods, results, contribution, limitations. Trigger on 'read this paper', 'paper notes', 'summarise this paper', 'structured notes', or when the user pastes or references an academic paper they're working with.

Method Comparator

Compare research methods across papers or proposals. Trigger on 'compare methods', 'methodology review', 'research methods', 'which method', or when the user is deciding between research approaches.

Literature Gap Finder

Identify gaps in a body of literature that a new paper or study could address. Trigger on 'research gap', 'gap in the literature', 'what's missing', 'unanswered questions', or when the user is scoping a new study.

FAQ

What is a Claude skill?

A Claude skill is a folder containing a SKILL.md file. It tells Claude when to trigger the skill and how to execute the task. Skills live inside your Claude account once uploaded.

Do these work on Free, Pro and Max plans?

Yes, as long as code execution is enabled. On Team and Enterprise plans, an admin needs to enable skills at the organisation level first.

Can I edit the skills?

Yes — the skills are plain markdown files. Open SKILL.md in any editor and change the description, steps, templates, or output format to match how you work.

Do I need all the skills in the pack?

No. Upload only the ones you'll use. Too many active skills makes Claude less precise about which one to pick.
